I am a professional Bass-baritone based in Banstead, Surrey. I have performed with ensembles such as the Monteverdi Choir and Polyphony, and as a bass soloist with orchestras such as the RPO, LSO, LPO and Philharmonia.

Teaching is a huge part of my life, and I have a roster of around 70 students of all ages and levels of ability. I teach classical, jazz, music theatre, pop and rock.

My own singing journey

From being a chorister at Leicester Cathedral to singing as a soloist all around the world, here’s what I have learned about being a singer and teacher.

Being kind is far more likely to lead to good results than being mean.

Every person can sing.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach that works.

All styles and genres are a valid form of artistic expression.
